I own 3 vacuums:
2 upright corded vacuums: Hoover Nanolite (10 years old) and BISSELL 2486 CleanView Bagless Vacuum (2 years old)
The other…
1 Generic Cordless Stick Vacuum an Onson D18E with 12000Pa suction (MAX) – (3 years old)
You don’t have to watch this video. Long story short…
Corded uprights are.. Cheaper, Last Longer (10 years on my nanolite), and provide better suction.
Also.. corded uprights need less maintenance.
You don’t need to charge your corded vacuum. Cordless stick vacuums take a few hours to charge!?
But…
Cordless Stick Vacuums win outright the convenience standpoint. When can you vacuum instantly a dirty spot in less then 30 sec. A corded vacuum would take time to bring it out.. plug it in.. then put it away.
Negatives of Cordless Stick Vacuums:
1. My head brush broke 3 times during the 3 years of ownership. The first time it broke was from too much hair and dirt on the brush which required cleaning.
2. You need to clear your head brush of hair and other entanglements ASAP otherwise it will ruin the head brush
3. Sometimes you need to clean out your filter completely to restore your suction on your cordless stick vacuum
4. Battery. It might die on you and not replaceable. So… some people have said how their stick vacuum was great until it stopped charging. Or.. the battery just doesn’t last that long… a few minutes and it dies.
