Depends what you're listening with but it's pretty audible with headphones.

I have an older model from years ago, but similar, and the hepa filter looks as good as the day I bought it. VERY little gets past that cyclonic setup they have designed. Cleaning it is a bit of a challenge because they make it awful hard to take A part.

Dyson shit. Got suckered when the first vacs came out. Filterless apart from the two filters dyson lied about. Can't vacuum my health of wood ash. They block up in a second. As you say. A flat filter is as good as brexit.
