It’s no secret that we love our cordless stick vacs here on REVU2U, we’ve linked just a few on screen for you to check out. But what we’re really interested in… is how they handle against today’s contended from Black & Decker. Let’s check it out.

Driving the suction, the Black & Decker Powerseries runs on a 20V cyclonic filtration motor powered by an integrated lithium-ion battery in the handle.

After a 5-hour charge, you can get up to 44 minutes runtime on low power with no accessories attached.

The motorized vacuum head contains a LED floor light for illuminating hidden dirt and dust. You’ve also got a rotating, anti-tangle brush bar that picks up hair and debris without getting clogged.

An angled head means it can seamlessly transition from tile to carpet to hardwood floor while autosense technology regulates the suction depending on what you’re vacuuming.

Remove the main stem and motorized head, add the supplied crevice tool and you can use the Powerseries as a hand-held vacuum.

So now for the suck test!

We’ve created a mess that crosses two floor surfaces and let’s see how the Black and Decker Powerseries holds up.

While it may have missed one or two bits of dirt on the first pass, it really did adapt well to the change in surface.

Emptying the vacuum is as easy as pressing a button, pulling out the dustbin and emptying into the trash.

When you’re done cleaning, the Black & Decker Powerseries stands straight up and tucked away for convenient storage.

So, what do we like about the BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ 20V MAX Cordless Stick Vacuum?

At just 8 and a half pounds, the Powerseries is light enough to easily clean items overhead like window sills, curtains and ceilings.

It’s also powerful enough to pick up most household dust and rubbish.
