Black & Decker Dustbuster CHV1510 review: This Black and Decker handheld vacuum is light weighing just 3.4 pounds and is cordless. The Dustbuster allows you to access the washable filters by removing the back of the machine. This also allows you to access the entire dirt cup for thorough cleaning.
The long nozzle of the Black & Decker Dustbuster twists to allow you to achieve the desired angle for cleaning and it has a flip up brush and crevice tool that extends from the nozzle. It has strong suction that worked well to clean a variety of particles from our carpet.
What was especially impressive is that it easily sucked up even our largest particles without flinging them around our floor or grinding them up. Likewise, the Black & Decker CHV1510 performed well on our hard surface flooring. It did a great job cleaning up even the finest of particles without smearing them across the floor.
While the Black & Decker Dustbuster CHV1510 vacuum was easy to transport and worked well at cleaning our stairs, the narrow nozzle width made cleaning larger surface areas tedious. We also found that the nozzle would occasionally stick on the carpet.
Averaging 82.5 decibels, this machine was moderately loud, but still comfortable to clean with. The filters did a fine job of retaining dust and allergens. Even without a brushroll, the suction was strong enough to easily clean up our fine pet hair from our upholstered couch.
One of the areas that the generously long crevice tool came in useful was in cleaning our cars. Many handhelds’ crevice tools are too short to be of any use, but not the Dustbuster’s.
Because the nozzle is so narrow, getting in the tight spots of our vehicle was a breeze and it handled the contours of our machine well, but again, cleaning larger surface areas takes a while with this machine. To quickly empty the dirt cup, simple remove the nozzle and dump. We enjoyed using the Black & Decker Dustbuster CV1510 handheld vacuum cleaner.

I got one and it worked 1 time. The 2nd time I went to use it, there was no power.the indicator light comes on when placed on the charging base but it can be left there for days and there is no power. Expensive for a 1 time use. Too late to return. I don't recommend it.
Don't waste your money on this thing… it cleans good for like 5 minutes then craps out. Just buy an industrial vacuum if u want a good cleaning machine. Wasted my money on this piece of junk.
Hi, do you feel that this is the best lower price car vac? What others did you compare and decide where better?
Thanks
not crazy about it, run time only 11 min, the first few mins it runs fine then it starts to slow down. run time gets weaker and weaker, as mins go by, good if you have to pick up a few crumbs not good if you have to clean a car. not happy with it at all, I wanted to pick up more then just a few crumbs
Thanks for share.
I got mine today and It's great! I love it!
They are all loud. Just bought this. Works incredibly well and is very intuitive. the crevice tool pulls out and is attached, otherwise i know i would lose it.
Really good suction. Nice clear color blue, so you can easily tell how full of dirt it is.
I don't get to say this very often these days. But this is a very well designed unit.
You can't go wrong with this model.
Oh yeah. You can keep it plugged in all the time, and not have to worry about overcharging. It is configured not to overcharge, even though it's plugged in.
I bought this thinking it would be good for auto vacuuming. Not a very good product when using it to clean the rougher textiles of the car interior. The extensive wool of the carpet traps the dirt and a vaccuum really doesnt do anywhere good a job as you think it would. Its cute but cute doesnt get the job done. Im returning mine.
Run Time? Charging base?
CHV1410L I like but no wall mount charging base, very dumb.
what about charging……..
The 14.4-Volt Cordless CHV1410L with the Lithium type battery is the one that's getting 5 stars everywhere. Must be pretty new, Homedepot, Lowes, Walmart, Target don't even stock it on the shelves yet. I just ordered mine on line. Read the Amazon reviews for the model CHV1410L. The long lasting charge of the Lithium battery sets it apart from the lesser CHV1510 and other models.
Wow, now I really want one.. (:
