I have the first one in the video. I love it, it works great and is easy to maneuver. My issue is with emptying it. The super allergen free, blah blah filters are kind of useless once we have to open the canister to empty it. The least harmful way seems to be to make sure your kitchen trash was just emptied and has a new bag in it so you can hold the canister deep in it before releasing it to open. Let's face it, if you're vacuuming wall to wall carpet, you're not picking up nice neat little fruity pebbles… you're picking up dirt and and endless amount of carpet fibers that form a cotton candy like ball filling the entire canister. That mass doesn't just drop into the trash can. You have to pull it out somehow, as shaking doesn't release it all, either, and shaking also causes some to rise to the top, out of the can into a smoke-like dust that the user is then breathing in. I wish it emptied into a filter like regular vacuums so no dust is released into the air to breath again. Not happy about that part of it. Anyone else figure an easier way to empty it? I'd love to know, because I love the vacuum otherwise.

I'm surprised there's no mention of the NV800/801/803, it's gotten a lot of positive attention elsewhere. Seems to be similar to the NV752, but with the addition of the same DuoClean feature as the HV382.

MY family was in the carpet and ceramic tile business for 55 years. OUr shop was in southern Minnesota USA/ My folks never once ran an ad ,all their business came from word of mouth. Being in this business nearly every major vacuum cleaner is offered to us because they wanted our endorsement. The business closed when my mother died suddenly at young age of 82. Having the knowledge and first hand use of so many cleaners personally I felt I knew what to look for and expect from a vacuum. A good or bad vacuum can actually play a direct role in the life of your carpets and even hard surface floor coverings. Having tested and used the best I was blown away by the Shark Navigator. So versatile looking at it. The question is with clean filters will the motor deliver the same performance a year or two after using it. Here is what we experienced. The machine completely wore out after 8 months of use, Our home is of modest size and no young children. We remove our shoes in the entry as do our guests. We have 2100 sq ft of which 1200 is carpet and 900 is hardwood and stone about 50/50. At the power nozzle the housing bottom wore thin and the suction hose just broke into pieces. I sent multiple emails and made phone calls to Shark. We provided them with all the information they required. I even offered to send the power head to them at my expense. We received no replacement or offer to repair . Awful customer service, they obviously couldn't care less about their customers or loyalty. This cleaner was suppose to have a 5 or 7 yr warranty so much for Shark. I won't say about the others in this video but I recommend you stay clear of Shark . Do they suck?/ Yes they sure do suck big time!! * Just a side notte < At no time was I ever rude or disrespectful to the Shark representatives . We have a used Hoover I purchased on Craigslist . The Shark canister is in garage I use it to vacuum the sawdust from my table saw. I sent the power nozzle head to Shark care of their R&D Department. That was over a year ago. To this day I never heard a peep out of the Shark people. .

I’m known as the vacuum killer. Seriously. We have a four story house, and 6 animals. I vacuum twice a day, due to allergies and pet hair. (I just like a clean house)…. My shark has lasted 5 years now. It’s been hit on walls, sucked up numerous things it shouldn’t, and has so many attachments it’s insane. It still has the same suction power as the day I bought it. When this one goes, I won’t buy anything else but a shark.

Excellent information about best shark vacuums. I like Shark Rocket HV382, because of its features such as tow brush rolls, triple practice cleaning. Especially, its organismic handle that has two speed power switch which let us adjust and choose the power levels. Thanks for sharing.
