definitely dyson better

@paule7479 says:

Also the v15 has 150watts less peak power

Which is newer

@magicmulder says:

Gen5 also has a brush inside the long tube (this has also been added to the v15 2023 model, just like the newer fluffy head and the push button).

Also the battery is slimmer, my Gen5 fits into the stand for the v10 which the v15 doesn't due to its battery width.

Also also (at least that's what Dyson says) the Gen5 display shows what's currently being detected whereas the v15 can only show an overall sum.

The Dyson hand held still weak at suction Samsung and LG are much better

Major flaw where tools connect- it goes bad quiet quickly

@pardeepsingh6578 says:

the trigger has a faults i’ve noticed on all dysons with a trigger which is over time the trigger will activate it self and only way to turn it off is to push pressure on battery. the button is a welcome new addition in my opinion

The Gen5 Detect’s newer Fluffy Optic head is now on the V15 models, I just got a V15 and it has the brighter light and no switch.

@Ecksterphono says:

Trigger is far better. They improved on the Trigger design from the V11 absolute pro series onward to prevent breaking over time. Secondly the constant on feature on the gen 5 detect, now eliminates certain battery management system software to prevent battery load that runs the battery down faster without the trigger and runs hotter. Whereas when the trigger is let go the battery management system will compensate faster and resets and adjusts to the next run. Also if something gets caught or accidentally vacuumed up that shouldn't be vacuumed the reaction time to stop the machine is reduced especially if something damp gets vacuumed up. Sadly the multi floor and carpet powerhead is under powered for carpeted stairs on the Gen 5 detect. and medium carpet. They should have kept the high torque drive digital motorhead. The V15 cleans carpeted stairs and heavier carpets without issues. Same with the V11 absolute pro. One thing I can say the hepa filters became a big improvement after the V10 and V11 after they needed to upgrade because of bypassing fine particulate into the motor causing blockage error readings running hotter weakening the trigger support causing it to break at the anchor which as I mentioned they already improved as well. I'll stick with my V11 absolute pro. My V11 absolute pro runs for an hour and 30 minutes on auto mode. And an hour and 40 minutes on eco mode and has a trigger plus removable battery.
